GETTING TO RICHMOND

Vancouver's transit system offers efficient and convenient connectivity from downtown to Richmond. The Canada Line, part of the city's extensive SkyTrain network, provides a direct, rapid, and comfortable journey between these key areas, typically taking just 25 minutes.

After disembarking your cruise ship at the Canada Place Cruise Ship Terminal, walk about 5 mins to Waterfront Station. Transit fares can be purchased at the Compass Vending Machines. Board the Canada Line train heading towards Richmond-Brighouse.

The City of Richmond offers a free shuttle service called the Richmond Discovery Shuttle, which operates on Weekends and Statutory Holidays from June 22nd - September 8, 2024. PLACE TO VISIT IN RICHMOND

  1. CF Richmond Centre: You’ve arrived in Richmond! When you exit Richmond-Brighouse Station, you will be right across the street from CF Richmond Centre – Richmond’s largest shopping mall. With over 200 stores ranging from retail chains to high-end boutiques – you can do some shopping, or fuel up for the day at the Dining Terrace.

  2. The World of Kidtropolis: From the Richmond-Brighouse Station, board the 401 bus (One Road Route) from the Richmond-Brighouse Bay 3 bus stop. Disembark at the Westminster Hwy @ No.2 Rd bus stop. Kidtropolis is located a short walk in from the street at Unit 110 – 5940 No. 2 Rd. The Olympic Oval is home to The Richmond Olympic Experience – the first member of the International Olympic Committee’s Olympic Museums Network to be located in North America! You can relive the greatest moment in Canada’s sports history and experience the thrill of the Olympics firsthand with their interactive simulators.

  4. Steveston Village: To get to Steveston, board the 401 bus at the Richmond-Brighouse Bay 3 bus stop, and disembark the Steveston Exchange @ Bay 2 bus stop. Steveston Village brims with charm and fun-filled attractions for visitors of all ages. Dive into history at the fascinating Gulf of Georgia Cannery or explore the interactive exhibits at the Britannia Shipyards National Historic Site. From the Canada Line enroute to YVR-Airport, disembark at Templeton Station where the McArthurGlen Designer Outlet is located for some last-minute shopping, dining and entertainment before hopping back on the Canada Line to YVR-Airport.

GETTING TO THE AIRPORT

It’s time to catch your flight at the Vancouver International Airport. To get to YVR from Richmond, board a train on the Canada Line heading towards Waterfront Station.

You will need to make a transfer at Bridgeport Station. Disembark the train at Bridgeport and go to the opposite side of the platform to board the train for YVR-Airport Station. The train ride from Bridgeport to YVR-Airport is about 7 minutes. The station is conveniently located across the street from the YVR Departures Check-Ins.
