Sponsor Feature: Kirmac Cares for Kids

At Kirmac, we care about our customers and the communities in which we operate in.  Since 2010, Kirmac Cares for Kids has provided funds to support the children and youth of British Columbia.  When our customers choose Kirmac, they choose to support BC Children’s Hospital, Surrey Memorial’s Children’s Health Centre, and the Boys Club Network.  Kirmac Cares for Kids has raised more than $5 million dollars through the generous support of our customers, employees, and business partners. 

At BC Children’s Hospital, Kirmac Cares for Kids directly funded the launch of Western Canada’s first pediatric Digital Lab in 2018.  The digital lab uses advanced 3D Technology to support surgeons and clinicians improve health care decisions.  Doctors can print 3D models of organs, bones, and tumours to help plan their more complex procedures.  This can lead to shorter operating times, smaller incisions, and quicker recoveries.    

Surrey Memorial is the regional centre for children’s health care in the Fraser Health region.  The Children’s Heath Centre sees more than 50,000 children every year.  Kirmac Cares for Kids is proud to support the facility, which does amazing things in a very small footprint.  Kirmac started supporting Surrey Memorial in 2020. 

Since 2016, Kirmac has supported the Boys Club Network (BCN).  BCN is supported by a committed team of BC secondary school administrators, teachers, counselors, wellness workers, and mentors.  The organization provides hope, opportunity, positive mentorship, and education to young men aged 12-18 who are seeking connection.  On top of funding, members of the Kirmac team participate with BCN in various way.  It is always a highlight to spend time with the boys and make an impact.
